SS Shula's second foal was born rather plain, however, as with all of the best things in life, good things take time. "Suzie" is now a young lady with a fine quality coat, short exceptionally pretty head, good dark eyes, very good hooves, excellent tail carriage, and the typical Egyptian dryness and refinement, clearly showing her world-class breeding.

Suha DH is by the Straight Egyptian stallion Simeon Sapar. Simeon Sapar has never been shown, but he comes from an award winning family, being by the exquisite Anaza Bay Shahh, ¾ brother to the famed Anaza El Farid; and out of Simeon Sa'ada, a gorgeous grey sister to the World Reserve Champion and dream-like black beauty, Simeon Sadik. Simeon Sapar is only a young horse in Endurance-sire terms, but has already showed huge promise in this area, breeding on tough athletic stock. His eldest progeny include Dahman Vanzant (2nd place 2006 NZ National CEI**, 5th place 2007 South Island CEI***) and Dahma Saparah (3rd place 2006 NZ National CEI**, 4th place 2006 South Island CEI***, 2nd place 2007 South Island CEI***, 4th place 2007 NZ National CEI**).

Breeding SS Shula to Simeon Sapar doubled the blood of Asfour; however we think Suzie shows a strong resemblance to the bay coloured members of her family, with her facial structure being more like Simeon Shirli, with possibly a deeper dish, more leg, refinement and tail carriage inherited from Anaza Bay Shahh. It is my opinion that the first generation Anaza Bay Shahh progeny are much heavier and plainer than their sire, but often with better conformation. The next generation is where his importance as a sire comes to light, and it is with this observation in mind that I went ahead with the breeding, with Suha DH being the happy result of a number of superior mare familes: Seetha, Damirah, Deenaa, Hanan, 27 Ibn Galal V and Simeon Shirli.

During winter 2008, Suzie was involved in an accident, breaking her leg. This has curtailed her show and riding career, however, we look forward to breeding her in the future.
